Why Study in Canada?

World-Class Education

Canada is home to globally ranked universities and practical “Polytechnics” that focus on job-readiness. A Canadian degree is a recognized mark of excellence.

The "PR" Pathway

Canada’s immigration system is designed to retain international talent. SD Edu Services helps you choose courses aligned with the “Green List” to maximize your chances of Permanent Residency.

New PGWP Rules (2025)

We navigate the complex new rules for you. University graduates (Master’s/Bachelor’s) remain eligible for up to 3 years of open work rights, while college students are guided into high-demand “Shortage Sectors” (Healthcare, STEM, Trades) to ensure visa security.

Affordable Excellence

Compared to the US or UK, tuition fees in Canada are often more budget-friendly, and the cost of living in student cities is manageable.

Work While You Study

International students can work 24 hours/week (new rule) off-campus during academic sessions and full-time during scheduled breaks to support their lifestyle.

Under 2025 rules, Spousal Open Work Permits (SOWP) are primarily restricted to spouses of students in Master’s, Doctoral, or Professional Degree programs. Spouses of undergraduate/college diploma students may face restrictions.

What is a GIC and is it mandatory?

A Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) is a secure investment of approximately CAD $20,635 (plus bank fees) that proves you can support yourself for one year. It is mandatory for the faster SDS Visa category.

Can I apply with backlogs?

Yes, but it depends on the number. Universities generally accept up to 2-4 backlogs, while some colleges may be more flexible. SD Edu Services can help evaluate your profile to find the right institution.
