Why Study in USA?

Academic Flexibility

The US education system offers unmatched freedom. You can declare your major after exploring different subjects or easily transfer credits between universities.

STEM Advantage (3-Year Work Permit)

While standard degrees offer 1 year of work rights, SD Edu Services specializes in placing students in STEM-designated programs (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math) which grant you a 3-year stay back (OPT) to work in the US.

Global Innovation Hub

Be at the center of the action. Whether it’s Silicon Valley for tech or Wall Street for finance, US universities have deep ties to the industries that shape the world.

Research Opportunities

The US invests more in research than any other nation. Even as a Master’s student, you can work alongside Nobel laureates and access multi-million dollar labs.

On-Campus Employment

International students can work 20 hours/week on campus (library, cafeteria, research assistant) during the semester to help cover living costs.

FAQs

Can I study in the USA with a 3-year Bachelor's degree?

Traditionally, US universities required 4 years. However, SD Edu Services partners with many top institutions that now accept Indian 3-year degrees (B.Com, B.Sc, BA) directly for Master’s programs.

What is the "STEM OPT" everyone talks about?

“OPT” is Optional Practical Training. Standard graduates get 12 months to work. If your degree is STEM-designated (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math), you get a 24-month extension, totaling 3 years of work rights.

Can I get a GRE/GMAT waiver?

Yes! Post-2020, hundreds of US universities have made GRE/GMAT optional. Our counselors can help you shortlist universities that judge you on your profile, not just test scores.

When should I apply for the Fall (August) intake?

The US process is long. You should start your application by October or November of the previous year (9-10 months in advance) to hit the “Priority Deadlines” for scholarships.
